A decision to enhance legal supervision by procuratorial organs was approved in East China's Shandong Province recently. The decision stipulated that procuratorial organs should further strengthen legal supervision over illegal acts and criminal behaviors, including school bullying and sexual assault on juveniles.
Li Zheng, director of the legal policy research office of the Shandong People's Procuratorate, said that procuratorial organs at all levels across the province should focus on the protection of the juvenile, education for juvenile offenders and the protection of the juveniles' rights and interests. The procuratorial organs should strengthen supervision on the investigation, judgment and criminal execution of the delinquencies, including school bullying and sexual assault on juveniles.
Additionally, in the aspect of criminal prosecutions, procuratorial organs should strictly implement the leniency system on admission of guilt and acceptance of punishment and the principle of excluding any illegally obtained evidence.
